Their extraordinary geological formations consist of a maze of faults, crevices and razor-sharp limestone pinnacles sculpted by erosion over millions of years.

The Bemaraha region is home to an exceptional diversity of endemic wildlife and plant species. Nearly 400 animal species — including mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians — have been recorded in the park, along with around 900 native plant species.

Two major rivers cross the region: the Tsiribihina and the Manambolo. Accompanied by your guide, you can explore these waterways by traditional canoe, travelling alongside dramatic gorges and the towering limestone formations of the Tsingy.

For those wishing to venture further underground, caving excursions are also available, offering an opportunity to explore the hidden galleries beneath the canyons.

The national park is characterised by two major geological formations: the Grand Tsingy and the Petit Tsingy.
