Our story

Bemiray: more than just a word

Bemiray is a Malagasy word that symbolises unity in diversity, harmony between cultures, the strength of mutual support, and the richness of authenticity. It’s our promise.

Founded in Antananarivo in 2013, BEMIRAY Tours DMC welcomes travellers from Europe, Asia and Africa. We design tailor-made trips, immersive tours, luxury stays, honeymoons and weddings. We also handle transfers, excursions, car rental, dhow or catamaran cruises, fishing and diving.

To achieve this, we carefully select our local and international partners, and we keep developing our team’s skills to serve every traveller.

  • 100% tailor-made trips, at your own pace
  • A reply to every request within 48 hours
  • Local providers, NGOs and partner associations

The founder

Hary, a bridge to Madagascar

It all began at the Figaro Tourism Fair in Paris in 2005, with the desire to turn a passion into a profession. Since then, Hary has travelled the footpaths, tracks, embankments and rice fields laid out in “bemiray”, the patchwork of plots that colours the Highlands.

Passionate about anthropology, a university graduate, professional tour guide and former tour leader, he has travelled extensively across his native land, from Foulpointe to Bemaraha and from Saint-Augustin to Iharana. His ambition: to help you discover this country known as the land of the ancestors.
