The itinerary
A 11-day itinerary that can be fully tailored: every stage can be adapted to your pace and wishes.
Day 01
Arrival in Antananarivo
Welcome to Madagascar! You are met on arrival in Antananarivo and transferred to your hotel.
Antananarivo
Day 02
Antananarivo – Fort Dauphin – Lokaro and Evatra
2-hour 45-minute flight
Wake up at 6.30 am for breakfast and a briefing with your guide, then transfer to the airport and fly to the south-east of the Great Island. In Fort Dauphin, you are met and transferred to your hotel before the adventure begins.
A 4×4 first takes you to the shores of Lake Lanirano, about 3 km from Fort Dauphin. You then follow the mangrove-lined river for 2 hours to the fishing village of Evatra, before a walk of a few hours brings you to Lokaro Bay.
Deserted coves, pristine white sand and turquoise water: the bay reveals itself in a setting of untouched nature. From the top of a hill, a fabulous viewpoint takes in the meeting of lake and sea, at the foot of Evatra village.
Swimming in the sea or the river, lazing on the beach, snorkelling, hiking or surfing: everyone enjoys the bay at their own pace. Lunch is included: a picnic of grilled seafood served by local fishermen. Return to your hotel at the end of the day.

Day 03
Fort Dauphin – Isalo National Park
1-hour 21-minute flight
An early breakfast at around 7 am, then transfer to the airport and flight to Isalo. You are met at the Relais de la Reine airstrip and transferred to your hotel.
Next, head for the natural swimming pool, after which we pick you up on the Namaza side; a picnic lunch is included. After a stop at the hotel, make your way to the Isalo Window for an aperitif as the sun goes down.
One of Madagascar’s most visited national parks, Isalo lies in the south-west of the country. Its dry climate means you can visit all year round without worrying about heavy rain, in a landscape of savannah, desert-like terrain, vast canyons and hidden oases.

Day 04
Isalo – Bemaraha National Park
2-hour flight
After breakfast, fly to Bemaraha National Park. You are welcomed on arrival, then set off to explore the Petit Tsingy.
Next comes a pirogue excursion: with your guide, you travel down the Manambolo at the foot of steep gorges and the sharp pinnacles of the tsingy, all the way to the caves. For those keen to explore the underground galleries of the canyons, caving trips are also available. A picnic lunch is included.
Together with the adjoining Tsingy de Bemaraha Strict Nature Reserve, the park centres on two geological formations: the Grand Tsingy and the Petit Tsingy.
Bekopaka
Day 05
Flight over Bemaraha National Park
Time for an exceptional experience from the air: a flight over the Tsingy de Bemaraha, whose network of faults, crevices and razor-sharp limestone blocks makes it one of Madagascar’s most spectacular landscapes. A picnic lunch is included.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1990, the tsingy cover part of the Bemaraha limestone plateau and lie within the national park of the same name, established in 1997. The reserve is home to many endemic species: nearly 400 animal species – mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians – have been recorded here, along with no fewer than 900 native plants.
