At the afternoon, we go to Antafofo to visit the river Lily plunges According to the legend, its name comes from a “vazaha” plantation owner’s little girl’s name “Lily” who supposedly died here. E will reach the place through volcanic hills and small villages with red-mud houses.

Few kilometers , 10 km of tarred road from Ampefy to Analavory. About 45mn away from Ampefy a path leads to the Analavory Geyser, which offers a gushing spectacle. The geyser site counts four geyser springs. The intensity of the water expulsion varies. Free Picnic lunch. We go ahead to reach Antsirabe. In this area, you’ll see lots of terrace ricepaddies on the slopes. This town is regarded as the ‘pousse-pousse‘ capital (rickshaw)

Antsirabe is known for its relatively cool climate (as the rest of the central region of the country), its industry and the high concentration of pulled rickshaws . You may rent a bike the the city tour, the hot spring city with its rickshaws, semiprecious stones, lakes… Limestone and sulphur were exploited can be visited.
The city was founded by Norwegian missionary T.G. Rosaas in 1872 as a hill station to serve as a retreat centre because of the much cooler climate. The thermal baths were opened in 1917. The city has the nicknames ville d’eau (‘city of water’ in French) and visy gasy or le Vichy malgache (‘the Malagasy Vichy‘ in Malagasy and French respectively), referring to the presence of multiple thermal springs in the area.
Several water-filled craters are found in the area around Antsirabe, including Lake Tritriva to the south-west. There are hot springs which are utilised by the Ranomafana thermal bath in the city.

Miandrivazo is a town, it is situated at the Mahajilo River and belongs to the district of Miandrivazo, which is a part of Menabe Region. We start the river cruise from Masiakampy village. The Tsiribihina or Tsiribinha is a river of western Madagascar. We start the descent of the river.

Estimate arrival in the middle of the day, after a last halday on the river, we go on track to reach Bekopaka village and get at the Bemaraha National Park.

Classified as UNESCO Wolrd Heritage in 1990, the tsingy occupy a part of the limestone plateau of the same name, and are part of the Bemaraha National Park, which was classified in 1997. The tsingy are one of the most spectacular landscapes in Madagascar with their network of rifts, crevasses, and limestone blocks carved in sharped blades. The Bemaraha Reserve has a considerable number of endemic and diverse species. Nearly 400 animal species (mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians) are listed in the park, and no less than 900 native plants of the island grow there.
Two large rivers cross the park : the Tsiribihina and the Manambolo. Accompanied by your guide, you will go down in pirogue those rivers that border steep gorges and the sharp points of the tsingy. To wit, if you wish to explore the underground galleries of the canyons, caving tours are also available.
The national park centers on two geological formations: the Great Tsingy and the Little Tsingy. Together with the adjacent Tsingy de Bemaraha Strict Nature Reserve.

On the way back we go through the Avenue of the Baobabs is 15 kilometers from Morondava. This unavoidable site, with massive trees, offers a wonderful landscape, especially when the sun goes down on the red and dusty soil of Menabe.
Morondava shelters a people with typical customs. You will discover a typical funeral art called the sakalava art, which is characteriwed by its erotic frescoes and sculptures. They tell stories of the dead and they symbolize life and procreation.
